Original Colored Pencil Drawing
This drawing was based on my small adventure at my second artist residency where we went and explored the gardens of La Foce. I was completely enamored by all of the flowers, trees, and architecture that made the garden what it was. What really struck me though was the mesmerizing view across the tuscan countryside.
One of my goals for my residency at Essere was to capture a reference of the tuscan countryside featuring cypress trees and the rolling hills. Once I saw this landscape I knew it would become a drawing.
This drawing took a total of about 100 hours and 55 colored pencils to create. Overall I loved being able to capture all of the colors Tuscany can feature. It is the perfect window to feel as if you are standing right within the tuscan countryside in your own home.
